Cruthirds Family Tradition!

One of our absolute FAVORITE times of the year is Baylor Homecoming!!! We love all the festivities, catching up with old friends, wonderful houseguests and just everything Baylor. Although we live in Waco, we hardly ever go over to campus so we also love the excuse to go visit. The weekend started off by attending Pigskin Friday night with the Orr's. Ryan and I were both Sing chairs so we really enjoy getting to go watch (the shortened version) especially when one of our own wins :) Then we started off bright and early Saturday morning with the parade, then went to the Horners for their annual party, then to tailgate and the start of the game. Pierson and I went home for a nap when the rain delay came and then came back up to finish the game and watch the BEARS win!! I did not take near enough pictures, it was such a fun weekend, but geeez we were exhausted!

Pierson's first time to sit in Judge Baylor's lap!

Back at the game after the rain delay. P doesn't look to happy, but she actually did quite well due to the circumstances

Brooks came to play at the end

Bears WIN!!!!

We CAN'T wait to go watch the Bears in a bowl game!

The weather was not ideal for all the events, but we made it to everything and had a wonderful time!

PUMPKIN PATCH 2010!

There are sooo many reasons enjoy this time of year....the wonderful weather, football season, fall decorations, yummy food and recipes and one of my personal faves since having little P around is going to the Pumpkin Patch!!! Last year, we had some weather issues when her little playgroup was suppossed to go so we all ended up having to go at different times, but this year we made it!

Just look at all these precious little tots! Obviously, it is almost impossible to get just one child to smile at the camera these days so this was the best we could do for the group. They actually did really well for us making them sit still for that long.

Pierson wasn't having one of her smiliest (is that a word?) days.

Even at this age she still wanted to try to eat the pumpkin!!

So I just had to post her pic from last year at this same time doing that exact same thing!!!

She was bit more into the photo shoot last year haha!!! Such a happy baby!!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe that this was a YEAR ago already. She is growing up way to fast!!

My precious little pumpkin :)

Welcome Jackson Cole Knight!

My sweet little nephew entered the world on Oct.14, 2010! Thankfully, Pierson and I were able to leave fairly soon after we got the call that "today was the day" and made it to Longview before Jackson made his debut. We had originally gone up to the hospital to just check on how my brother and Jannon were doing, but once we got there, things were moving very quickly and ended up just staying in the waiting room until he was born. It was so exciting to sit in anticipation for his arrival! This also meant entertaining the two little "Misses" in the family as well :) We had the usual toys and snacks, but as most of you know, even that wears off after a while.

Little Miss P started running down the hallway screaming and laughing! Not good to wake all the tired new mommies and babies.

She sure was having fun though :)
Of course, she had lots of attention! She waited with Nana for a little bit.
Being silly with aunt Kelly. Poor bow just was not staying in with all her running around :) But don't you worry, I just kept sticking it right back in!!!!
Getting some lovin from PawPaw and Gamps!

And then FINALLY baby Jackson was here!!!! (It actually really wasn't that long, but you know how it is when you are just waiting)

Sweet precious baby!!!
New mommy Jannon with her new little love :)
The siblings with all our little ones!

Introducing Maddie and Pierson to their new cousin

Getting passed around to all the girls in his life :) I'm sure his daddy will be able to give him all kinds of pointers on how to deal with us all.

Uncle Bubba making sure the girls got their share of attention too!

It was such a blessing to be able to be there and be a part of this miracle. Every time there is a baby born, I am just reminded so vividly of how miraculous our Father is and when it happens in your family, it just makes it just that much more real. I still can't believe that my little brother is a daddy now! I know that he will be the best daddy little Jackson could ask for and that he and Jannon will love that little boy with all their hearts. I'm already looking forward to getting to hold my little nephew again soon :)

Waaaaaaaay behind!

I didn't think that it had been that long since I last updated the blog, but once I started to look at all the pictures, I realized that waaaaay too many things had happened lately that I hadn't posted yet! We have had quite a busy fall so far and so much fun getting outside and enjoying this beautiful weather. Pierson had her 18 month check up and she is growing like a weed. They actually had to measure her height twice because they were surprised at how much she had grown (UP!).
Weight: 24.6
Height: 33 3/4
Head Circ: 47.3
I am having a hard time grasping that her next "official" appointment is when she will be TWO! But, I am "that" mom so I know we will be in there many more times before that hits :)

Some of Pierson's friends have already hit the big 2 and so we have been able to celebrate with them. She attended her first party at the Lion's Park.
This was Pierson's first time to ride any type of ride too. We stuck her in the boat with Hudson and Brooks and watched them go. For the most part, she enjoyed herself. We got several "Why are you making me do this?" looks, but then they eventually turned to smiles!

Daddy of the year scrunched himself in the ride with Pierson and Brodie because I was not going to let her ride that alone. Her little daredevil self would have totally jumped ship!
I got to ride with them on the train ride around the park!

Ryan was able to take a day off from work and Pierson wanted to show him one of her favorite places to go...the zoo!

She LOVED having her daddy there with her!

Giving the "monkey" a kiss

We then went out to the ballpark!
We went to Burgers on the Berm to support the Baylor Baseball Diamond Girls and had a blast! This was our first time to go, but it was such a fun little BU event. We will definitely be going back.

Pierson had a great time running around on the hill with her friends
Horrible pic, but it was so cute watching all the dad's trying to watch the scrimmage while keeping up with the kids while the wives sat up top talking and watching it all :)
Pierson made a new friend for the weekend too. Ryan Orr came to stay with us for a night and Pierson was eating up all the new attention.
The next morning, she was up and ready to tailgate at the game. She even got to have her first BU sprinkled doughnut!
Daddy took the girls out to play a little golf on Sunday afternoon and started teaching Pierson how to putt with her little pink putter!
I think we might have a little golfer on our hands :)

We were not able to venture up to the Baylor vs. Tech game so we just cheered them on from our house! I wish I could have gotten more pictures, our house was filled with Baylor fans and their little future Bears. Pierson's Lita was even able to come down for a quick visit!

Lita played with her inside and outside and Pierson couldn't get enough!
She played and played all morning and afternoon with her friends and she finally just....
CRASHED!

Seriously! She just laid down in the middle of the floor with the playing, TV and yelling all around her and just went to sleep. How stinkin cute!!!! She ended up sleeping about an hour in that one spot after the game was over!!! First time for everything :)

A few little things little Miss P is into right now...
Her babies and her nap mat! We take what I call her entourage with us everywhere we go. Her entourage includes her two baby dolls, Mr. Monkey, who also gets called a baby sometimes too, and he blankie. She loves to make her babies go "night-night" on her nap mat. She amazes me with this things that she picks up and learns. It is so sweet to see her take care of her babies! She covers them with her blankie, pats them on the back and even gives them some of her milk. Absolutely precious!
A Pierson and mommy favorite, Jamba Juice smoothies. During this first trimester, these little yummies have been quite a life saver for mommy and since Pierson ALWAYS wants exactly what I have, I decided to go ahead and save the battle and get her one. I kid you not, her mouth did not leave the straw the entire ride home!

I am absolutely loving this age! She is becoming quite my little buddy, learning and copying, trying new things, showing more and more of her sweet yet sassy personality. We have a busy schedule of fun fall things ahead so hopefully I can keep up!!!!
