Well Miss P has had a busy last few weeks. She has decided that she will give the whole crawling thing a try again, but she still is not a fan. She would so much rather grab mommy or daddy's fingers and walk them around everywhere. She caught a virus and ran a high temp. for several days in a row. Poor baby had a hard time sleeping (so did mommy and daddy) because she was so congested, it was hard for her to breathe. She is doing great now and back to her normal princess self.
She also got a special visit from her Uncle Drew. For some reason it takes her a little while to warm up to him each time he comes, but then she loves to play with him.

Drew is so good with Pierson!

Pierson really wanted to take Uncle Drew to Ninfa's to make sure he went back to college with full tummy!

She even got to see Uncle Drew's friend Logan Vick again (who she will be watching play BU baseball very soon)

She had several playdates this week. She got to have a dinner date with one of her favorite playmates, Hudson King. Pierson really enjoyed all of Hudson's toys and watching him crawl and move everywhere (since that is clearly not something she is used to). They had so much fun playing together!

And then to end the week, she got to be the ONLY girl at playgroup! Daddy wasn't too happy about this when he found out, but I think she definitely like all the attention.

Here she is with all her "boy"friends.
Sawyer Hillman, Samuel Horner, Jack Sibley, Mase Edison, Pierson, Hudson King, Jake Thompson and Gunner Maness

Pierson has officially weaned herself. This has been very bittersweet for me. I do miss it. I really enjoyed nursing and the special bond that just her and I shared. There were so many great things about it for me and her, I am sad that part of our life is over! It was also a  little sad to put away the loyal pump and my comfy Bravado's, although I have not missed the pump! There has been a sense of freedom that has come with this as well. She is almost done with the bottle as well, most of her drinking is now from her sippy cup. She loves drinking from her sippy cup! She is also not a fan of mom and dad feeding her much anymore. She wants to feed herself. Rasberries are by far her FAVORITE food! Girl can put those things away! She also really likes yogurt, cheese and sweet potato fries. Tooth #5 is coming in on the bottom so I am sure #6 won't be far behind.

Princess Pierson Pants!

So our little baby is 10 months old and weighing in at about 19.5 pounds. She is STILL wanting to "scoot" or "cruise" everywhere, crawling is just not her thing! She is wanting to walk around (with mom or dad's help) the entire house. One of her new favorite things to do with mom during the day is take her on a tour of the house over and over and over =) She gets really excited when she is trying to "walk" and starts to try to run, it is so funny! This is going to be trouble though as soon as she lets go.

She is still going through quite a mommy phase, but it does seem to be getting a little better. This has been going on for about a month now. I have not been able to walk out of the room with out her whining, crying or pouting. She has always been a baby that loves to have me down on the floor playing with her, never really been one for too much individual play, but this past month has been a little more intense! This past week, she has been able to start playing by herself a tad bit more, but as long as she knows mom is not too far away and it usually will last no more than about 10 minutes and then she wants mom to come back over.

Two new teeth have come in this past month (her fangs as I call them) which brings us to four total. We have started "brushing" her teeth too with the little rubber thing that fits over your finger and she loves it! She keeps trying to chew on and suck the toothpaste off.

Peek-a-boo through the doorway of her Laugh and Learning Home is also one of her new favorite games

We also had our last Musikgarten class this week which were a little sad about. Some of her favorite classmates were missing from class this past week (Brooks Jurgensen and Jack Sibley) so they are not in the picture, but here she is with Addyson McEachern and Blair.

Princess Pierson Pants is becoming more and more like a little princess, the way she turns her head when we try to feed her something that we know she likes, she is just not in the mood for it at that time, the way she gets a little high pitched squeal when mom leaves or the way she has started to yell when she wants us to know she is tired of playing with a certain toy. She is so much fun and we love seeing her personality come out more and more everyday.Sadly, i think she is starting to wean. I am going to give it a little more time and see what she is wanting to do.

Pierson's First Christmas!

I absolutely LOVE Christmas and all the joys that the holiday season brings and this year it was taken to a whole new level having Pierson here! We spent the first part of the week in Longview spending time with my family and then came back to Waco on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately she caught a pretty bad cold right before Christmas while we were in Longview which then led to an ear infection and bronchitis. Poor little thing was just not feeling too well for a few weeks, but she didnt seem to let that get her down. She loved all her new toys (mommy liked them even more because it gave us some new things to do!) and took a special interest in the bows =) We celebrated our first Christmas as a family of 3 at our own house and had the entire week to relax (recover from being sick) and enjoy our time together as a family. Spenco is closed for the holidays so Ryan was able to spend more time at home which Pierson and I loved! Taking care of a sick little baby is hard work and just breaks your heart when they are not feeling well and you can't do anything to make them feel better. Pierson has been just a sassy as ever though, if not even a little more, now that she knows how much attention she can get from mom and dad. Although our first Christmas with Pierson was not what we expected with us all being sick, we were very blessed to have the opportunity to be at our own house with one another, rest and enjoy God's many blessings!

It's official....

So I have finally decided to start blogging! Yes, I know I am very behind. Please be patient with me here because I am still trying to figure all of this out. I was getting tired of just using Facebook to post pictures, give updates, etc. and thought this might be better to share things about our life and most of all our sweet little Pierson =)
