Weekend with Pop

Last weekend, Pierson's Pop (Ryan's dad) came to stay with us and we had a great time!!!
She wanted to make sure she showed him all her toys when he got to Waco. On Saturday, the boys went and played golf and then we all hung around the house and then had a fabulous dinner cooked out by Pop's friend Lego. Pierson played outside with the boys while they grilled out the amazing feast!

On Sunday, we all went out to the golf course for a little family golf! Pierson loves going out to the golf course and she especially loved it when Pop was there to give her his full attention.

Pop even let her "drive" the golf cart around.

Pierson had a blast! It was perfect weather and she lasted for 15 holes!!!! Can you believe it!

Then she started to get a little sleepy

And she was out! Precious little baby hung in there as long as she could.
I forsee many more trips to the golf course with her Pop in Pierson's future. She is so blessed to have such amazing grandparents in her life that adore and love her the way they do!

Summer FUN!!

Last week, our playgroup ventured out to the Splash Park out in Hewitt. This was Pierson's first experience with a Splash Park and she did pretty well. There were quite a few older kids there playing too and so our little ones weren't able to explore as much as we would have liked for them too. Pierson still seemed like she had a great time playing with her friends :)

Testing out the fountains

Snack time!!!

And of course, the playgroup photo-op

God Bless America!

We had such an AMAZING Fourth of July weekend! Long weekends at home are something that we never can have enough of. Having Ryan home for an extra day is definitely a treat for me and Pierson. Although the weather was not ideal, we made the most of the dry time we had.
We started the celebration at the Hillman's house with some swimming, playing and of course FOOD!

Pierson probably had an entire hot dog bun stored in those cheeks! Reminded us of her Uncle Cody :)

Playing with her friend Jack

Trying out all the push toys she could find. All at once!
Smiling with the cutest little patriotic baby, Caleb

Playtime with mom

We then headed out to Ridgewood to get our spot for the fireworks. We decided to keep Pierson up WAY past her bedtime and let her partake in her very first firework show!

She was having a blast running around on the golf course pre-fireworks and playing with her friends, Jack, Landry and Caleb.

Being silly with Mrs. Sarah

She was literally running herself in circles :)

Clearly staying up late wasn't bothering her too much!

Such a fun time together as a family!!!!

Pierson did great with the fireworks. Once she got over the initial noise, she was locked in on the beautiful display. She even started saying "boom, boom" after each one.

Finishing it up with daddy.

I absolutely LOVE weekends like this. Getting to spend some treasured time together as a family and fun times with great friends is such a blessing from God and we are so thnakful!

15 month update!

Well, Pierson is actually almost 16 months old, but due to travel and moving her 15 month visit was a little delayed :) I feel that SOOOO much has changed over these past few months. We are having so much fun with Pierson! She is so full of personality and boy is she a TALKER!!! It seemed like it was almost over night when she started actually saying more words I could understand and repeating everything that she hears. Here is a run down of her vocabulary...

Dada
Momma
Mommy (momeeeee)
Bailey (Bayee)-this is one of her faves!
Puppy
Baby
Cheese
Car-Car (don't know why she says it twice)
Outside (we think it sounds like south side)
Please (pease)
Uh-Oh (another fave!)
Nana (for banana and her nana)
Good Girl (goo gurl)
Cracker
Hi
Waffle (Baffle)
Bye-Bye
Keys
Hot
Peach
Me

I am sure there will be a new one tomorrow, that is just how quickly she is picking up things! I love getting to see her learn new things every single day. She seems to understand so much more of what we are saying now and tries so hard to communicate back.

She is loving her house, new room, new stairs and new places to play!
She amazes me with the things that she figures out now!

Pierson started Mother's Day Out a few weeks ago at First Baptist Woodway and has done wonderful! I must say, it has been nice to have a few hours each week to run errands, clean house or whatever else I want to do. The time goes by so quickly! I know Pierson is enjoying getting to see some other faces besides Mommy's all day too :)

This check-up was much different that the ones in the past. Shots have never been a "treat", but this time she kinda knew what was going on and was NOT a happy camper. Poor thing :( Of course, we got to go see daddy afterwards which made everything all better.
15 Month Stats:
Weight: 23.8 lbs
Height: 31.5 inches
Teeth: 12 (been here for a few months now)
Hair: still not much, but we do have a slight little curl now :)
