P is for PARTY!

For Pierson's birthday party this year, we decided to go with none other than a "P" theme since that is what she is called quite often and not to mention that she loves the letter P! So...P is for Party was the official theme! We took a chance with the weather and had it at Poage Park (thought it went well with the P theme!). No rain, but it was SOOOOO windy that morning, so many of the decorations I had prepared to put up just didn't quite make it. Oh well, don't think the kids cared too much :) The invites instructed all her guests to wear something that started with the letter P (pink, purple, polka dot, plaid, etc.) Pierson's Aunt Kelly made her a special "P" pink polka dot dress just for the party!!!

Playing with her daddy :)

Sweet Brodie giving P a snack

Merry-go-round with cousin Maddie and Addyson

Taking a break to eat some snacks!

Trying to keep the wind from blowing everything away!!

All the snacks started with the letter P. Pineapple cupcakes and a special one for birthday girl.

Peach Parfait cups

Pretzel mix

PB&J sandwiches

Maddie, Pierson and Lita enjoying some of the food

The birthday girl blowing out her number 2 candle!

Who needs a fork?

P is for Pinata so we attempted to have a pull string one for the littles to try

The candy didn't quite come out when the strings were pulled daddy had to help a little :) Still ended with all the candy on the ground!!

All the family that made the trip in. (Nana, Aunt Andee, Lita, Daddy, Pierson, Mommy, Aunt Kelly and Cousin Maddie)

Back at the house, playing with Cousin Maddie. Pierson LOVED having her cousin there to play with!

Checkin out the goods :)

It was a great party and she had so much fun with her friends and family! I adore all of her little friends (and their mommies!) and hope that they continue to stay friends as they grow up :)

Pierson Layne is TWO!!

My sweet baby turned TWO on March 9th and I can't believe that we have been blessed with her sassy little personality for two whole years!!!! It's one of the many things that every parent tells you, but you never really know just how fast they truly do grow up until you expereince it for yourself. Words can't express just how much joy Pierson has brought to our lives. She still loves to read. She now likes to "read" the books to us. She loves playing with her friends and talking about them by name and their parents names too! She loves looking at pictures of family and making sure that we know all their names. She amazes us at the things that she picks up on, how smart she is and how closely she pays attention. She can now spell her name without mommy and daddy's help and count to 10. Her favorite foods are still fruit and cheese, but she has been doing great at eating what we eat. Chick-fil-a and Jason's Deli are always at the top of her list if she gets a say so. She is also in LOVE with 3 Spoons Yogurt (so is mommy!). She is very much into her baby dolls still and dress up. She loves her dress up shoes! She likes to make mommy lunch in her kitchen and have tea parties with her new tea set. She TALKS and TALKS and TALKS! She makes sure that mommy and daddy know every little thought that crosses her little mind. She is starting to want everything to be pink! We want pink ice cream, pink clothes, pink shoes, you name it.
Anyways, we celebrated her actual birthday by having a birthday doughnut with sprinkles and candles for breakfast and then some Chick-fil-a and presents to cap it off.

After nap, she was happy to get a special delivery of balloons, candy and a toy just for her from her Nonna!

She was very excited to get her very own set of high heels from mommy and daddy

And LOVED her new pink dress!!

The "terrible twos" really hasn't been that bad so far. She defnintely has her moments and we have had to start doing time out a few times, but overall she is such a wonderful little tot! She has the sweetest little personality and I love seeing what new things she will do each day. Her birthday party post if coming up next............
