So our little baby is 10 months old and weighing in at about 19.5 pounds. She is STILL wanting to "scoot" or "cruise" everywhere, crawling is just not her thing! She is wanting to walk around (with mom or dad's help) the entire house. One of her new favorite things to do with mom during the day is take her on a tour of the house over and over and over =) She gets really excited when she is trying to "walk" and starts to try to run, it is so funny! This is going to be trouble though as soon as she lets go.
She is still going through quite a mommy phase, but it does seem to be getting a little better. This has been going on for about a month now. I have not been able to walk out of the room with out her whining, crying or pouting. She has always been a baby that loves to have me down on the floor playing with her, never really been one for too much individual play, but this past month has been a little more intense! This past week, she has been able to start playing by herself a tad bit more, but as long as she knows mom is not too far away and it usually will last no more than about 10 minutes and then she wants mom to come back over.
Two new teeth have come in this past month (her fangs as I call them) which brings us to four total. We have started "brushing" her teeth too with the little rubber thing that fits over your finger and she loves it! She keeps trying to chew on and suck the toothpaste off.
Peek-a-boo through the doorway of her Laugh and Learning Home is also one of her new favorite games
We also had our last Musikgarten class this week which were a little sad about. Some of her favorite classmates were missing from class this past week (Brooks Jurgensen and Jack Sibley) so they are not in the picture, but here she is with Addyson McEachern and Blair.
Princess Pierson Pants is becoming more and more like a little princess, the way she turns her head when we try to feed her something that we know she likes, she is just not in the mood for it at that time, the way she gets a little high pitched squeal when mom leaves or the way she has started to yell when she wants us to know she is tired of playing with a certain toy. She is so much fun and we love seeing her personality come out more and more everyday.Sadly, i think she is starting to wean. I am going to give it a little more time and see what she is wanting to do.

ReplyDeleteand girl...you've breastfed so well for so long...don't be so hard on yourself about weaning. i'm sure it's tough tho after doing it so long...but remember, you've come this far. that is awesome!! so proud of you....especially as i am in that "tough" stage. :)
hugs!
